Goodbye, Petersons

Yet another set of friends - another! - moved out of town. This time, we said goodbye to our pals Ian and Jenny Peterson. It was a sad day. But the goodbye party was pretty darn fun. There was a moon bounce. It was amazing/dangerous. Highlights: our friend getting karate kicked flat and our friend Stacy telling me, "Keep bouncing!" when I was screaming in fear. The night was capped off by Jenny giving a goodbye speech.

The P+D Pub Crawl

We had the BEST TIME last night with our friends at the Second Annual Pump and Dump Pub Crawl. The name wasn't exactly accurate this year, but it was too good to get rid of.

Not 40 yet

Leigh is amazing! Tonight he was named one of Oklahoma City's Forty Under 40 by OKCBiz Magazine. That's because he's one of the most awesome people who's younger than 40. I mean, seriosly. He's not even 30 yet!

Jill and I have to hold this thing because it's so huge!
Look at how cool he looks holding that award!
Watching him accept his award was so great. The emcee talked about his job but also everything he's accomplished with Vilakazi. It was so wonderful! Hooray, Leigh! (And congrats to our other pals who won - Bose' Akadiri, Ike Akinwande, Malek Massad, Andy Rine, Holly Shelton and Kristen Torkelson!)

Chicken!

Mia achieved an Oklahoam milestone: she went to Eischen's. (I wrote a column a couple years ago about how awesome Eischen's is.) We went with a group of friends, which I think might be a requirement of driving to Okarche.

She still doesn't have teeth, so she couldn't actually have any chicken. Therefore, Leigh and I had chicken in her honor. It was delicious. And that pleased her.
