Vilakazi and burgers!

Tonight was absolutely spectacular! S&B Burger Joint has a charity day every Tuesday, where the nonprofit gets 10 percent of the proceeds. We were lucky enough to be selected this year! It was so exciting being a part of a business's giving, and it was so heart-warming to see how many of our friends came out to support us.

Grey Snow Eagle House

We had the amazing opportunity to somewhere pretty incredible today. We visited the Iowa Tribe's Grey Snow Eagle House, a refuge for injured and helpless eagles from across the country. It's just amazing. We went as a surprise for our friend Kelli's birthday. We hauled the kids out to Perkins and had a big ol' time.

It's a small place that gives free tours to anybody who wants to come check it out. They even brought out one of the education birds and let us see it up close. Incredible!

Elizabeth Taylor's wedding

We went to Elizabeth Taylor's wedding. It. Was. Amazing. She was, of course, the most glamorous bride I have ever seen. The wedding was the most lavish, beautiful affair I've ever attended. It was amazing. And even though it was a very grown-up party, everyone kept asking where Mia was. At the babysitter's, people!

Elizabeth Taylor and the Half-Naked Man

A couple of our fabulous friends, Elizabeth Taylor (yes, Elizabeth Taylor) and John Semtner, are getting married at the end of the month. I attended Elizabeth's bachelorette party, and it was fabulous. Kelli, a friend of mine who is one of her bridesmaids, planned the most hysterical activity ever. Elizabeth and John are going to Paris for their honeymoon, so Kelli hired a model to wear a beret, a neck scarf and his skivvies to model for us. So we all painted him. It. Was. Hilarious. Mostly because Elizabeth hates feeling awkward. I loved it.

Elizabeth is the one standing to the right of me (in the strapless dress) and Kelli is to the right of her (in the black and pink dress):

Rebecca and AJ get married!

We had the best, best, BEST time last night at Rebecca and AJ's wedding! Best time. Seriously. We danced until 2 in the morning and celebrated a really special couple. It was wonderful.

Me sweating like an animal after shaking it on the dance floor for literally hours:

Ian snapped this photo of me being indecisive:

This video is dark, but it's so great. Turns out, AJ's and James's milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard.

Thunder Up!

Thanks to our amazing friend Megan (Elliot) for inviting us along to watch the Thunder game with her! So much fun! We brought our other friend Megan (Schrader) because we like for all our Megans to be in the same place at the same time. While we were buying hot dogs and beer, who did we happen to see but one Elizabeth Taylor. (Not the actress who passed away - our friend Elizabeth Taylor, who was, thankfully, still alive and not working as an actress.)

Chicken!

Mia achieved an Oklahoam milestone: she went to Eischen's. (I wrote a column a couple years ago about how awesome Eischen's is.) We went with a group of friends, which I think might be a requirement of driving to Okarche.

She still doesn't have teeth, so she couldn't actually have any chicken. Therefore, Leigh and I had chicken in her honor. It was delicious. And that pleased her.
