Flashback

I have no idea why these are wonky, but I guess it will just have to be that way. I found some old photos that made me smile. Here I am with my dad and with my mom's parents, Alice and Russ.

Easter bunnies, both seen and unseen

Oh, the Easter bunny came to our house. He left all kinds of fabulous things, and he hid eggs all over the front yard.

After church and a nap, we took Mia to the zoo. They were having egg hunts, and after so much excitement this morning, we thought for sure she'd love it.

Apparently not. But with a little help from Leigh, she conjured up the courage to pluck up a few eggs. After that was over, she had a fabulous time playing in the stream, watching a sea lion show with my mom and petting various fuzzy creatures. Success!

The Easter egg hunt

We took Mia on an Easter egg hunt out at the revamped Myriad Botanical Gardens. It was so fantastic!

At first, it was a little windy and chilly. Mia did not approve.

Leigh enjoyed the weather.

But what's this over here?

A fountain!

Hunting for Easter eggs takes serious strategy.

One of the eggs Mia picked up had a prize ticket in it and she won some bubbles. Could it get any better?

And carrot cake cupcakes? Seriously? Everything was free.

Quick pause for a high-five from the Easter Bunny.

They had games for kiddos, and Mia was a little timid at first. After some gentle coaching, she knocked the egg down the aisle in one smack! Everyone around us clapped! haha

More games.

Short break with Frama.

And another quick high-five from the Easter Bunny before we headed out.
