Is that our kid?

We went to school to pick up Mia and couldn't find her. We looked around at the kids who were waiting for their parents but didn't see her. Then we realized: oh my god. There's our daughter. Right in front of us. We both - both! - overlooked her. How could this be? There are two explanations:

1. She's getting so big. It's crazy that she isn't the tiniest person at her school any more. Finally.

2. One of the teachers did this to her hair:

I might have squealed with joy. Mia isn't not having it when I try to put her hair into a ponytail. I only have one photo proving that it's ever actually happened. She still won't let me do it, but she needs to face facts. Ponytails are adorable and hilarious.

  1. Do you remember when we were driving and got behind this old truck where all you could see on the passenger side was a toddler's ponytail bouncing up and down over the seat? We couldn't stop laughing. Soooooooo cute. :)
