A spoonful of awesome

Mia used a spoon for the first time! It was hilarious. She pretty much took the spoon out of my hand and told me to quite messing around. She ordered rice weeks ago and for some reason the service at the Jacobs house is just horrible. She wasn't going to leave a good tip. Except for spit-up rice.
Because of the Vilakazi garage sale, our garage is packed full of donations, which is a good thing. Until you need the highchair out of the garage. But then I had a stroke of genius and remembered where it was.
So the big moment came. I mixed up some water and powdered rice and got out Mia's very special silver spoon, engraved with her name and birthday, from the Lees.
I sat down and offered her the mush and she went right for it. Then she took the spoon out of my hand and put the rest of it in her mouth. Well then. She was obviously much more prepared for this moment than we were.

Leigh fed her, too, and was the first one to realize she might need a bib. He was also the one to point out that she probably would need a bath, too. She was really cooperative and seemed to like the rice. Next week we move on to veggies!
